Anna Maria Island is a seven-mile strip of white sandy beaches. Now progressing through time (and to the west of Maria Island) we move out of marine rocks into massive- and cross-bedded quartz sandstones of the Upper Permain Parmeener group. The course is so advanced that it will count as university credit if the students decide to study marine biology.
