In the 1970's and 1980, the hotel I worked for had 12 movie crews, staying there. This movie deals with the aftermath, including how Mudd was basically framed out of convenience and his horrible existence in Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas, turned into a sort of proto-Guantanamo. And also the fact that due process in the case of his trial was completely and totally trashed by the government still operating under wartime auspices.
