Choshu began his career in New Japan on August 8, 1974. This past week, 67-year old Riki Choshu, a legend in the Japanese history of puroresu, retired from active competition. Riki Choshu, a man who has been the backbone of creative thinking in Puroresu, and who has been a megastar draw for thirty years, took his victory lap on one last tour on the 26th of June at the Korukean Hall. On Wednesday, June 26, at the legendary Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan, Choshu wrestled his final match, ending a five-decade career in professional wrestling.
